Privacy Policy

Last updated March 15, 2026

MeetStack is a professional networking app for scanning business cards, creating digital cards, managing contacts, and participating in events. This privacy policy explains what information is handled, why it is used, and the choices available to users.

The product is designed around private contact ownership, consent-based sharing, and secure storage for professional data.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as email address, password hash, or Apple sign-in token.
  • Optional profile details including name, job title, company, phone number, website, bio, city, country, and avatar.
  • Contacts you scan, exchange, or add manually, including card images, notes, tags, and how you met.
  • Digital business card content, selected themes, and QR-based sharing data.
  • Event data including event metadata, attendee participation, and consented lead capture.
  • Reminder titles, due dates, and linked contacts for follow-up workflows.
  • Subscription entitlement status from Apple without collecting payment card details.
  • Limited device data such as local scan counts and optional location for the weather widget.

How MeetStack uses information

  • To create and manage accounts.
  • To store, organize, and surface contacts, reminders, and events.
  • To enable QR sharing and event lead capture with explicit user consent.
  • To enforce free-tier limits and maintain subscription entitlements.
  • To deliver reminder notifications and optional weather context.

Storage and security

MeetStack uses Supabase on AWS infrastructure with row-level security, encrypted connections, authenticated access control, and private storage for card images and avatars.

On-device preferences and lightweight counters are stored locally. Sensitive account and cloud data is not intentionally stored in plain text on the device.

When data is shared

  • With event organizers only after a clear consent prompt is accepted by the attendee.
  • With recipients of your digital card based on the fields you choose to share.
  • With infrastructure providers such as Supabase acting as a data processor on behalf of MeetStack.
  • When disclosure is required by law or an enforceable legal request.

Your choices and rights

  • Edit your profile, contacts, reminders, digital card, and event data inside the app.
  • Delete your account and associated cloud data from app settings.
  • Revoke camera, location, or notification permissions in iOS settings.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple subscription settings.
  • Export certain data such as event leads or contact data where supported by your plan.

Retention and policy updates

Active-account data is retained while the account remains active. When an account is deleted, associated profile, contact, reminder, event, and stored image data is removed from the service.

MeetStack may update this policy over time. Significant changes are reflected by an updated date and may also be communicated in-app or by email when appropriate.
