Hoofprint ("we", "our", or "the app") is a horse care diary and reminder app for iOS made by Culi Studio. It is designed so that your data stays yours: there are no accounts, no sign-up, and no server of ours that receives your content.
Your diary, photos, horses, health records, and reminders live on your device — and, if you are signed into iCloud, in your private iCloud database that only your Apple ID can access. This policy explains what little the app handles and your rights.
Private by Design
Hoofprint works fully offline with no account and no sign-up. Your diary entries, photos, horses, health records, and reminders are stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, Apple syncs them through your private iCloud database (CloudKit), which only your Apple ID can access — we cannot read them.
Data Stored on Your Device & Private iCloud
- Diary entries, notes, photos, and activities you log.
- Horse profiles and their photos.
- Health records (vaccinations, deworming, dental, weight, medication, and more).
- Reminders and their schedules.
- App preferences, streak progress, and language settings.
Anonymous Usage Signals
Hoofprint sends coarse, anonymous events — such as "a diary entry was logged" or "the paywall was viewed" — via TelemetryDeck, an EU-based, privacy-first analytics service. These signals contain no names, notes, photos, entry dates, or identifiers that could identify you.
What We Never Collect
- No location — Hoofprint contains no GPS or location code.
- No contacts, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps.
- No photos leave your device except through your own iCloud sync or when you explicitly share something.
- No accounts, no email addresses, no third-party ads.
Camera & Photo Access
Camera and photo-library access are requested only when you choose to add a photo, and photos are stored only in the app on your device (and your private iCloud). Notification permission is requested only after you create your first reminder.
Purchases
Hoofprint Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat using an anonymous app-generated identifier — never your name or email. We do not receive or store payment card details or Apple Account credentials.
Third-Party Services
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit — private sync of your data across your devices, under your Apple ID.
- Apple StoreKit / RevenueCat — subscription processing and entitlement management for Hoofprint Pro.
- TelemetryDeck — anonymous, privacy-first usage signals with no personal identifiers.
Children’s Privacy
Hoofprint is rated 4+ and does not collect personal information from any users, including children. No account or personal information is required to use the app.
Deleting Your Data
Delete the app and its data is gone from your device. iCloud copies can be removed in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage. There is no server copy of your content for us to delete.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
