Locked In ("we", "our", or "the app") is a focus companion for iOS published by Culi. Your privacy is at the heart of the product — no feeds, no followers, nothing sold. This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is used, and your rights.
Locked In is private by default. Sessions, notes, and streaks live on your device. Optional sign-in only syncs across your own devices.
Private by Default
Locked In stores your focus sessions, daily log entries, streaks, and notes on your device. There are no social feeds, followers, or public profiles. We do not sell your data or show ads. Optional Apple Sign-In syncs your streak and session history only across devices you own.
Data Stored Locally
- Focus session history (duration, vibe chosen, completion status).
- Daily locked-in log entries and optional notes about what you finished.
- Streak counts and milestone achievements.
- Notification and reminder preferences.
- App preferences (theme, default session length, selected vibe).
Optional Sign-In & Sync
If you choose Apple Sign-In, your streak and session history sync across your own devices via our secure backend (Supabase) with row-level security. We receive only the limited information you share through Apple. Sign-in is never required for core functionality.
How We Use Your Data
- Core functionality: to run focus sessions, track streaks, render your daily log, and display Live Activity and widget data.
- Notifications: to send session reminders and streak nudges you configure.
- Sync: to keep your streak consistent across your own devices when sign-in is enabled.
- We never use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- No camera, microphone, or video recordings during focus sessions.
- No behavioral tracking for advertising or cross-app profiling.
- No selling of personal information.
- No social graph — we do not connect you with other users.
Third-Party Services
- Apple Sign-In — optional authentication for cross-device sync.
- Supabase — encrypted, access-controlled storage when sync is enabled.
- Apple StoreKit / RevenueCat — subscription and lifetime purchase entitlement management.
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — local and push notifications for reminders.
- TelemetryDeck or PostHog (if enabled) — aggregate usage analytics, not linked to your identity.
In-App Purchases
Locked In membership and the All Vibes lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through StoreKit, with entitlements managed by RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details or Apple Account credentials. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A 7-day free trial is available once per subscription group for new subscribers.
Children’s Privacy
Locked In is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
- Access all of your data within the app.
- Delete session history, log entries, or your entire account.
- Opt out of notifications via iOS Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account settings.
- Use the app without sign-in — sync is optional.
Data Retention
Local data is retained while the app is installed. Synced data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account or uninstall the app, associated data is removed from our systems.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
