Local-Only by Default

MoodLight is built so your check-ins, notes, and mood maps never leave your device. No account creation or sign-up is required. There is no cloud sync. All check-ins, optional notes, reminder times, and Plus settings live in local storage on your device.

Data Stored Locally

• Mood check-ins (the orb you tapped and the timestamp).
• Optional one-line notes you write with a check-in.
• Your optional name and chosen reminder time(s).
• MoodLight Plus subscription status managed by Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat.

How We Use Your Data

• Core Functionality: To render your weekly, monthly, and yearly mood maps, save your notes locally, and run the breathing-pulse animation on the orbs.
• Notifications: To send local reminders at the times you choose. No remote push server is operated by us.
• Subscription: To verify MoodLight Plus entitlement via Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No name, email, Apple ID, or phone number is collected for core functionality.
• No mood check-ins, notes, or mood maps are uploaded to our servers \u{2014} we do not operate any.
• No analytics SDK and no behavioural tracking. We do not run Firebase, Mixpanel, or comparable tools.
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA) and no third-party ads.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.

Subscription Disclosure

MoodLight Plus is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. Weekly is $4.99/week with a 3-day free trial; Yearly is $39.99/year. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings.

MoodLight is a journaling and self-awareness tool, not a medical device, clinical product, or substitute for professional mental health care. Third-Party Services

• Apple StoreKit \u{2014} In-app purchase processing for MoodLight Plus.
• RevenueCat \u{2014} Subscription entitlement management. MoodLight only queries entitlement status; no identifiable user data is sent.
• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) \u{2014} Local notifications for your reminder times only.

Your Rights

• Access all your data \u{2014} it lives on your device and is fully visible in the app.
• Edit or delete any check-in, note, or reminder at any time.
• Wipe everything by deleting the app from your device.
• Opt out of notifications via iOS Settings.
• Manage or cancel your MoodLight Plus subscription via Apple\u{2019}s subscription settings.

Children’s Privacy

MoodLight is rated 12+ for light reference to mental wellbeing and is not directed at children under 13. No account or personal information is required to use the app.

Data Retention

All data is stored on your device and retained for as long as you keep the app installed. We do not retain any data on external servers. If you uninstall the app, all local data is permanently removed.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
