Blend In! Game Tips: How to Host Better Social Deduction Rounds

Practical host tips for the Blend In! imposter party game—clue rules, spotting bluffers, Chaos Modes, and word packs that fit your group.

Set clue rules before round one

Blend In! enforces one word per clue with a timer—remind safe players to be specific enough to prove knowledge but vague enough to avoid handing the word to the imposter.

Ban inside jokes that only one person understands; they break deduction for everyone else.

Teaching new players in 30 seconds

Use the in-app How to Play tutorial, run a practice round with a silly word pack like Animals, and skip Chaos Modes until the group has finished one clean vote.

Three players is the minimum; groups of six to eight often produce the best debate before voting.

When to unlock Chaos Modes

Double Trouble adds a second imposter for larger groups. Speed Round forces five-second clues. Blind Vote removes discussion for chaotic laughs.

Rotate word packs between sessions—Pop Culture for teens, Travel & Geography for mixed ages—to keep clues fresh.
