Account Information

• Email address and display name (when you create an account).
• Profile picture (if you choose to upload one).
• Authentication data from Apple Sign-In or email sign-up (name, email, and authentication tokens).

Circle & Task Data

• Circles you create or join, including name, emoji, color, and member list.
• Tasks you create, assign, or complete, including title, description, due date, priority, and category.
• Comments, @mentions, and photo attachments on tasks.
• XP points, streak records, achievement progress, and leaderboard data.
• Grocery list items and claim assignments.

Device & Usage Data

• Push notification tokens (for task alerts and reminders).
• Basic analytics data via Firebase Analytics (app opens, screen views, general usage patterns).
• Device type and operating system version.
• Timezone (for accurate task scheduling and reminders).
• Location data (only when location triggers are enabled and permission is granted).

How We Use Your Data

• Core Functionality: To sync tasks, lists, and Circle activity in real time across all members.
• Account Management: To authenticate you and manage your profile.
• Notifications: To send task reminders, assignment alerts, and weekly digests you have opted into.
• Gamification: To calculate XP, maintain streaks, and display leaderboard rankings.
• Analytics: To understand general app usage and improve the experience.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with row-level security enabled. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Circle data is isolated so members of one Circle cannot access another Circle's tasks or content. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — Authentication, database, real-time sync, and file storage.
• Firebase (Google) — Analytics and push notifications.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases.
• RevenueCat — Subscription management.

Your Rights

• Access your personal data stored in the app.
• Update your profile information at any time.
• Leave a Circle and remove your membership data.
• Delete your account and all associated data (available in Profile > Delete Account).
• Opt out of push notifications and location services via iOS Settings.

Children’s Privacy

Loopd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Family plan includes parental controls but is managed by a parent or guardian.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Task data in shared Circles may be retained for other Circle members until the Circle is deleted.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
