A neon arcade reflex game for the TikTok era

Tap the moment. Miss the moment.

OrbTap is a one-tap arcade game for iPhone. A dot orbits the center at a steady speed, colored target arcs rotate the other way, and you tap at the precise moment the dot aligns with a target. Every hit speeds up the orbit. Every ten hits unlocks the next tier. Slow-Mo, Double-Score, and Shield power-ups spawn on the orbit path — collect them by positioning, not tapping. Runs last 20 to 60 seconds, the loop is shareable, and the leaderboard is GameCenter-native.

  • 1 tapis the whole gameNo swipe, no hold, no multi-touch. Tap anywhere on the screen at the moment the orbiting dot aligns with a target. First run feels fair even when you lose.
  • 20–60 secper runBuilt for short bursts — bathroom-break gameplay. Close misses, perfect streaks, and rage-quits are the natural shape of every session.
  • 3 power-upson the orbit pathSlow-Mo halves orbit speed for three seconds. Double-Score doubles every hit for ten. Shield absorbs one miss. Collect them by positioning the dot — not by tapping.
Games

Built around a five-line core loop

OrbTap is deliberately small. A dot orbits, you tap, the dot fires outward along the current tangent, the trajectory checks against rotating arcs — hit and you score, miss and it's over. Everything else (power-ups, themes, ads) is decoration on that loop. Runs are short enough for a bathroom break, the close-misses are TikTok gold, and the orbit mechanic feels different from the vertical-fall and helix arcade games that came before it. OrbTap is Culi's first game, shipped under the separate `com.culiorbit.app` bundle so the studio's wellness lineup stays soft.

Key features

What makes OrbTap stand out.

01

One-tap arcade gameplay

No tutorials, no menus mid-game, no learning curve. The dot orbits, you tap when it aligns, the dot fires outward along the current tangent. Three seconds to understand, a year to master.

02

Neon-arcade aesthetic

Glowing orbs, particle trails, screen shake, and haptic feedback on every hit. Two themes built in (magenta/cyan and lime/pink), four more unlocked with OrbTap+. Every theme changes particle behaviour, not just colour.

03

Power-ups that reward positioning

Slow-Mo, Double-Score, and Shield orbs spawn on the orbit path roughly every 30 to 45 seconds. Collect them by having the dot pass through them — not by tapping. A second cognitive layer in a genre that usually has zero.

04

GameCenter leaderboards, native

Every game over submits your score to the OrbTap GameCenter leaderboard. Friends and global rankings, weekly and all-time views, and zero account setup. The leaderboard sheet is iOS-native and free.

05

A best-score moment worth screenshotting

New high scores get a special game-over animation, a shareable card, and a tap-to-continue rewarded-ad option for free players who want one more try. Made for the screenshots and short clips that travel.

06

OrbTap+ for the players who want everything

A single $2.99 non-consumable removes interstitial ads, unlocks all five neon themes, opens up Slow-Mo and Double-Score for free runs, and adds four custom dot trails. One purchase, remembered forever via StoreKit 2.

Who it's for

Built for real workflows.

The bathroom-break run

Open OrbTap, tap PLAY, get a 30-second arcade hit between meetings. Runs are short by design — miss once and the next one starts in two seconds.

The chain you have to share

Hit a 25-combo and the screen pulses, particles cascade, and the score number gets bigger. Screen-record the next attempt and you have a 12-second TikTok ready to post.

The leaderboard climb

Submit a high score to the GameCenter leaderboard, check your global rank in the leaderboard sheet, and try to overtake the friend who beat you yesterday.

The five-theme aesthetic

Buy OrbTap+ once and unlock the magenta, cyan, lime, pink, and ice themes. Each one changes the particle behaviour as well as the colour palette — the game looks different at 120 hits than it does at 12.

FAQ

Common questions about OrbTap.

How does OrbTap actually play?

A dot orbits the center of the screen at a steady angular speed. Colored target arcs rotate the opposite direction. Tap anywhere when the dot aligns with a target — the dot fires outward along the current tangent and the game checks the trajectory against the arcs. Hit and you score, miss and the run ends. Every ten hits speeds the orbit up, every twenty-five spawns a power-up.

Is OrbTap free?

Yes. OrbTap is free with light ads — an interstitial after roughly every third death and an optional rewarded video on game over to continue from where you died. There are no forced ads during gameplay and no ads before your first three plays. A single $2.99 non-consumable in-app purchase (“OrbTap+”) removes all interstitials, unlocks all five neon themes, and opens up the Slow-Mo and Double-Score power-ups for free runs.

Does OrbTap use GameCenter?

Yes. OrbTap submits every score to a single GameCenter leaderboard called “OrbTap High Score” (ID `com.culiorbit.app.highscore`). Friends and global rankings, weekly and all-time views, and the native iOS leaderboard sheet — no custom backend, no account creation, no email.

What does OrbTap+ unlock?

OrbTap+ is a single $2.99 non-consumable purchase. It removes interstitial ads, unlocks all five neon themes (the base game ships with two), opens up Slow-Mo and Double-Score power-ups (free tier only gets Shield), and adds four custom dot-trail styles. One purchase, no subscription, restored anytime via the Settings screen.
